Things I Like – These Rugs are Incredible

I’d like to learn this type of design for my stained glass creations. I have been following the creations and inspirations of big-time artist Altoon Sultan and her work amazes me.  My favourites are her rugs, full of simple design, yet so amazingly balanced, harmonious and pleasing to my eye.

You can follow more of Altoon Sultan’s work at http://altoonsultan.blogspot.com/

(Every week I post about an interesting pattern or design. If you have an idea that you think I should look at or would like me to make this window for you, send me a note by email or on my contact form.)

Price: $6.50 each BUY NOW! Stained Glass Bird Decoration Design

Stained Glass Bird Decoration DesignThese stained glass little birds are the cutest things ever. I’ve created them as my $5 item for my Christmas craft fairs and I just know they are going to bring sweetness to many homes this Christmas. They are so versatile: Perfect as a grouping on the Christmas tree, as little greeting gifts to friends and loved ones, or as unique hostess gifts. These birds will even continue to be beautiful hanging in a window long after the Christmas season is over.

Stained Glass Candle Holder DesignI’ve chosen the name ‘Lavender Dreams’ for this stained glass candle holder because it compels me to dream about lighting a candle and curling up with good book and a cup of tea. Things I Like – This Painting Inspires

This stained glass inspiration idea is a painting created by artist Mandy Budan.  I like her unique style with all the little shapes within each object in the painting, it makes me think of some of the textures in my glass.

I am very impressed by the level of detail that goes into creating each painting.  I love how her work changes from pencil drawing to painted medium.  You can check out her progress on one of her current paintings at http://blog.mandybudan.com/. Thanks for the inspiration idea, Damara!  Keep the ideas coming, friends!
