Stained Glass Blue Songbird in a Green Tree

Price: $30 BUY NOW!

Stained Glass Song Bird in Green Tree Design

I’ve created a new addition to my blue bird in the circle tree designs.  This stained glass suncatcher features a songbird singing a sweet little tune to cheer us up every day of the week.  The green glass is difficult to describe because it has swirls at different depths in the glass, making it very layered and dimensional.

I’ve also made a version of this suncatcher with pink swirl glass, for those of you that like things a little more girly.  You can click this little pink link  to check that one out on my Etsy shop.

Stained Glass Flower Sphere Window

Price: $299 BUY NOW!

Stained Glass Flower Sphere WindowWow, I am proud of this design! This stained glass flower sphere window is quite awesome.  I wore some serious skin off my fingers getting all 180 itsy bitsy pieces cut and placed together.  But the final creation is completely worth the effort, a masterpiece of curves and dimension.  I am most impressed that this flat stained glass window practically jumps off the window it is so dimensional.

Things I Like: Stained Glass Flower Designs

I will never grow tired of flower designs in stained glass. I’ve previously admired this light-hearted painting done by Nicole Dobbins on Etsy; I think it stained glass flower designcould also look fantastic in stained glass. That triggers an idea to spend some time looking around at different artist’s paintings on Etsy, find some I love and then collaborate with them to create their art in the stained glass medium. A great project for a rainy day…

Stained Glass Candle Holder

Price:  SOLD

Wow, this candle holder turned out beautifully!  It is the brainchild (custom design) of one of my clients at my and I’m happy to say it was a joy to make.  Such beautiful colours, curves and nuggets.  I am impressed by how the basic frame of the candle holder is very angular, and yet nothing about the finished creation seems angular.  It seems very warm and welcoming.

Things I like: Crazy Stained Glass Window

Now here’s something unique!  I like that these stained glass panels have so much depth and dimension, while being flat in reality. However, I have to write this blog post quickly because the psychedelic patterns are making my eyes go berserk.   Great work by Lyanne McCredie in England.

Stained Glass Optical Illusion: Escher’s Waterfall

Stained Glass Escher's Waterfall

Price: $35  BUY NOW!

After creating my previous Escher’s Waterfall Illusion in stained glass,  I found a different drawing of the same illusion that is fabulous.   I decided to try that one in stained glass, attempting to amuse my husband again (and secretly, myself as well).  I hope it amuses you too!

Things I Like: Way up High

Apart from the obvious that this stained glass is stunning, I’m interested in the use of so much blue and red together.  I really like the effect but I’m wondering if it only looks amazing because the windows are such a distance from the viewer. Would a stained glass window with such bold colours look great in my kitchen window?

Stained Glass Flower Window

Price: SOLD

This window makes me think of a peacock with its bright blues, purples and greens.  It is a celebration of colour, and my first window where I’ve played with using a large number of different colours.

Just out of curiosity, which picture do you think shows it off better? The garden background or the white background? We are having this debate at home and I’d love to hear your opinion.

Things I like: Beautiful Orange Stained Glass

I’d like to focus on orange in one of my stained glass windows soon.  There are some beautiful streaky yellowy-orange sheets of glass that I’d like to try out.  In the meantime, here are some of my orange stained glass inspirations:
